image size : 960 x 720 This picture is a ray-traced image of a 3D computer model of the interior of the Renaissance church "Il Redentore" designed by Andrea Palladio in 1577, and built in Venice. _________________________________________________________ This is a view looking up at the dome of the apses. _________________________________________________________ The image is NOT gamma corrected & so may appear dark on some displays. The computer model and images were produced by Nathan O'Brien, for his undergraduate dissertation "Building Preservation and Three Dimensional Computer Modelling". The raytracing program used was Rayshade (both MsDos and Unix versions were used). The original images in Utah RLE format are available from: cad0.arch.unsw.edu.au:/pub/rayshade/images/Il_Redentore This image was saved in JPG format (using Quality=90, with no Gamma Correction) using Jih-Sin Ho's (great) "display" program. I can be contacted at: S.Peter@unsw.edu.au Nathan O'Brien: u8816956@keystone.arch.unsw.edu.au Please note that Nathan has now completed his studies and so will not be checking his mail regularly..... cheers Stephen.
